Innovestor Growth Fund I LP acquired the former Seed Fund Vera portfolio from Finnvera Plc in December 2016. The portfolio has been built over a period of ten years by the team within Finnvera Plc, which after the acquisition has continued to work within Innovestor Ventures. The portfolio consists of almost one hundred companies in all fields of technology; cleantech, consumer, enterprise software, health, industrial technologies and life science. The largest investors in the Growth Fund I are Nordea Life, Mandatum Life and Ilmarinen.
Innovestor Growth Fund II LP was funded in 2018 and actively invests in ambitious technology focused early-stage growth companies.
Innovestor Group consists of parent company Innovestor Ltd, and its subsidiary companies Innovestor Finance Ltd, Innovestor Ventures Ltd (acting as a GP for Innovestor Growth Fund I and Growth Fund II) and Kasvun Roihu Ltd. Innovestor Ltd is an investment firm supervised by FIN-FSA. Innovestor Ventures Ltd is a registered Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) by the FIN-FSA, managing currently Innovestor Growth Fund I L.P and Innovestor Growth Fund II L.P. alternative investment funds. Kasvun Roihu Ltd is a Jyväskylä-based company offering business coaching and market entry services for growth companies.
As an active owner, the impact of our operations is realised through our portfolio companies. We aim to develop our target companies in a sustainable way.
– We aim to identify the ESG (environmental, social, governance) issues relevant to each company during our investment process, as part of our due diligence work.
– During our holding period, we support our target companies in the development and management of ESG risks and opportunities.
– We develop the monitoring and reporting of ESG issue both at the company and fund level.
– We aim to adhere to the UN Code of Conduct and UN Principles of Responsible Investment (UNPRI) and ISO 26000 requirements. Our belief is that companies adhering to the Environment, Social and Corporate Governance Principles in their corporate responsibility will in the long run be more attractive investments.
Innovestor Ventures is a member of the Finnish Venture Capital Association (FVCA) and we adhere to their recommended guidelines of promoting transparency in the venture capital and private equity industry.
We comply with the International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation Guidelines (IPEVG) in the valuation of our target companies, and our investor reporting is based on the guidelines of Invest Europe. We report to our investors on a quarterly basis on the value development of our funds including major events within the portfolio companies.
